Sometimes it’s small — like forgetting a birthday. Other times, it’s big — like saying something epically dumb that you wish you could reel back into your mouth. Either way, we believe the world could use a little more honesty... and a lot more humor.

That’s how My Bad Card Company got its start.

It all began with a conversation in a men’s group — the kind of real talk that swings from hilarious to humbling in under five minutes. Someone brought up the ridiculous excuses people make when they screw up. “I didn’t call because Mercury was in retrograde.” “I was going to show up, but my dog had anxiety.” You’ve heard them. You’ve used them.

We laughed — hard. But underneath the jokes, there was something real. We all recognized ourselves in those absurd excuses. What we weren’t hearing were actual apologies.

That stuck with us.

What if saying “I’m sorry” didn’t have to be awkward or overly sentimental? What if there was a way to be funny on the outside, and real on the inside?

So we created My Bad Card Company — a line of cards for people who mess up, fess up, and want to make things right... without sounding like they stole their apology from a rom-com.
